Amaretto Glaze


  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup almond liqueur / Amaretto
  • 2 tablespoons water


  1. Bring sugar, butter, almond liqueur / Amaretto, and water to a boil in a small 1-qt. saucepan over medium heat, stirring often.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low, and boil, stirring constantly, 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, and use immediately.
This is the glaze we use on the Bacon Laced Sweet Potatoes. People have asked about the almond liqueur, well we use Disaronno Amaretto.
