This is a simple recipe for compound butter. It is close to the garlic bread recipe we saw on the Food Network.
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- Zest & juice of 1/2 lemon
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/2 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons finely diced green onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons finely diced red onion
Directions
- Put all ingredients in a small pot over low heat, and melt until combined.
Notes
We used this butter on top of chicken legs and thighs. We also used it on a pizza crust to make cheesy garlic bread.
